In Marsha Norman’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, audience members are allowed to peek into the lives of mother and daughter Thelma and Jessie Cates on what appears to be a typical Saturday night in their quiet lives. What unfolds is a true emotional roller-coaster. It is a psychological drama that is a culmination of a lifetime of poor communication that is all at once funny, heartbreaking, and completely gut-wrenching.
